With our purpose built Service Centre and over 50 employees we provide efficient and consistent service on a national basis.
With our large production facility in Southampton and comprehensive stocks of ropes and lifting equipment, our highly skilled and experienced team are able to provide a fast and efficient service for the supply and installation of ropes, plus the supply and testing of lifting equipment across most industry sectors.

History

1980

Foundation of the company in Crewe by DRAKO as UK sales and Service centre. Development of UK market for DRAKO elevator ropes.

1994

Become part of PFEIFER group as PFEIFER acquire DRAKO and its subsidiaries.

1999

Design, build and move to new owned premises in Crewe. Open office and stockholding facility in London. Start elevator rope installation service.

2000

Become sole distributor for Casar ropes in UK.

2001

Sign agreement with TUV for exclusive use in UK of ADIASYSTEM.

2002

Acquistion of Rope & Tackle Solent Ltd., Southampton

2025

Merger of the two UK subsidiaries PFEIFER Drako Limited and PFEIFER Rope & Tackle Limited
