Established more than 35 years ago, PFEIFER DRAKO provides sales, service and distribution for the UK and Irish markets. The main operation centre is based in Crewe, Cheshire. Business activities focus on ropes for cranes and ropes, travelling cables and roping services for the elevator industry. Additionally, our subsidiary company in UK, PFEIFER Rope & Tackle, Southampton, provides products and services predominately to the marine industry.

History

1980

Foundation of the company in Crewe by DRAKO as UK sales and Service centre. Development of UK market for DRAKO elevator ropes.

1994

Become part of PFEIFER group as PFEIFER acquire DRAKO and its subsidiaries.

1999

Design, build and move to new owned premises in Crewe. Open office and stockholding facility in London. Start elevator rope installation service.

2000

Become sole distributor for Casar ropes in UK.

2001

Sign agreement with TUV for exclusive use in UK of ADIASYSTEM.

2002

Acquistion of Rope & Tackle Solent Ltd., Southampton
